Congratulations to Dr Joanne(Kyung-Ah) Kwon on the award of the Armourers and Brasiers Company Post-Doctoral Fellowship.  Joanne is currently researching novel polymers and composites for next generation resorbable cardiac stents. 

Several members of CCMM attended and presented at the 27th European Conference on Biomaterials ESB2015 held in Krakow, Poland from 30th August to 3rd September 2015.

The Opening of CCMM's Bonfield Cell Culture Laboratory was held on 16 June.  Distinguished guests from across the country watched Prof Bonfield cut the ribbon to officially open the group's new cell culture facility.

Congratulations to Jenny Ashworth, a PhD student in CCMM who has been given a Cambridge Society for the Application of Research award.  This is in recognition of her work on cell invasion in collagen scaffolds characterised by percolation theory.  The award is intended to reward outstanding research with real world applications.
